Four Corners of Colorado and Everywhere in Between

Your Trusted Insurance Claim Advocates

We partner with our clients for the entire claims process at Colorado Roofing Professionals because we know how confusing and daunting it can be. Our skill set and resources allow us to provide a far greater advantage than your average public adjuster or ordinary contractor, getting you the most value from your claim.

Our Process

The following process walks through each step of a commercial property claim. When you work with Colorado Roofing Professionals, we are your Insurance Claims Specialists, meaning we handle your claim from start to finish. We work directly with all parties, insurance companies, their agents, local government, suppliers, and you. Our goal is to get the most value out of your claim while ensuring all storm damage is accounted for and included in the initial claim. With years of experience, our dedicated specialists will work as your advocates to help navigate through this complex process while supporting your best interest at all stages.

1. Build Our Case

When we work for you, we make it our goal to treat your claim as if it were our own. We will take great care to assess all storm-related damages and prepare preliminary reports to submit to your insurance company. Our goal is to provide all necessary information to the insurance company in order to provide you with fair and just compensation for your property loss. This process may take several days for larger commercial properties. When complete, we will have an in-depth preliminary report that can be submitted to the insurance company’s claim department. This report will include any or all of the following applicable items:

  • Documenting
  • Photographs
  • Preliminary Estimate of Scope of Work
  • Code Requirements
  • Law and Ordinance Obligations
  • Aerial Images (used to calculating exact measurements of property)

2. Submit Claim

Within 24-48 hours of submitting these documents, we (or you) will receive a confirmation of the claim origination. The claim will then be assigned a claim number and a field adjuster who will then schedule a time to meet at the property.

3. Field Adjuster Inspection

This step is the most important in the process, but don’t fear–we will be on-site to meet the field adjuster(s). By having an Insurance Claim Specialist present we can collaborate and discuss the damages in an effort to maximize the settlement, thereby minimizing your out-of-pocket expenses.

4. Summary of Loss Report & Negotiation

This is the paperwork the insurance company will submit with their preliminary settlement. Unfortunately, it is rare for the preliminary settlement to be paid properly. Again, this is where our Insurance Claim Specialists can help by diving into the semantics of insurance policy language, code upgrades, and any other items missed or undervalued in the claim. Our supplemental reports would then be submitted for these items/funds. The goal here is to come to agreement on the settlement valuation before we would begin any production. It is a negotiation process that can take several days if they are adamantly denying coverage.

5. Initiate Production of the Project

With expediency and integrity, we communicate and coordinate with you through every phase of the project. You can have as much or as little involvement as you wish. We specialize in commercial projects, and we are fully licensed, insured, and capable of completing the project in a timely and orderly fashion. During production you can expect:

  • We will work with the city for all permits and inspections
  • We will meet or exceed all OSHA Compliance for safety
  • We install top of the line materials (or your preferred manufacturer)
  • We provide a 20-year Workmanship Warranty on all labor
  • Particular top of the line materials offer an additional 20 years of coverage (if used)

6. Project Completed

Once the project is 100% complete, we will send our final invoice to the insurance company, and they will release the depreciated funds held back at this time. We then invoice you for the same amount, only charging you what the insurance company paid out in the settlement as we work directly for the insurance proceeds. The only payment you would be responsible for is the deductible in making the claim, as this is now state law (Senate Bill 38 signed by Governor Hickenlooper on June 6th, 2012).
